February 16, 2009 Our 18th Anniversary

Feb. 22, 2009 Our lives are so busy with all of the appointments that we have to find creative ways to "sneak in" normal family activities. This day we were past Abby's nap time but she didn't seem to mind.

Happy 6-Month Anniversary Abby!

Today is March 1, 2009, which makes exactly 6 months since we were blessed with the biggest treasure of our lives, Abigail Rae O'Quin. We love you Abby! Daddy and Mama

....the rest of January

The last two months have been a blur for us all. We have been back and forth not only to Birmingham, but to numerous other doctor's appointments, therapies, and enrollments into new therapies....not to mention all of the paperwork, history, and phone calls associated with it all. So, contrary to popular belief, we have not fallen off the face of the earth. We're just taking care of the most important little thing in our lives:0)

Abby's checkup with Dr. Blount (her neurosurgeon in Birmingham) went great...and she effectively ran him off after he examined her! Poor Dr. Blount had to "hide" behind Abby to get his picture made with her.

Here's my newest therapy...it's called "The Rabbit" and I can stand up to strengthen my legs while I wheel myself around where I'd like to go! It only took one therapy session for me to master the idea and now I am getting around quite well on my own.



I think this calls for some applause!
