....the rest of January

The last two months have been a blur for us all. We have been back and forth not only to Birmingham, but to numerous other doctor's appointments, therapies, and enrollments into new therapies....not to mention all of the paperwork, history, and phone calls associated with it all. So, contrary to popular belief, we have not fallen off the face of the earth. We're just taking care of the most important little thing in our lives:0)

Abby's checkup with Dr. Blount (her neurosurgeon in Birmingham) went great...and she effectively ran him off after he examined her! Poor Dr. Blount had to "hide" behind Abby to get his picture made with her.

Here's my newest therapy...it's called "The Rabbit" and I can stand up to strengthen my legs while I wheel myself around where I'd like to go! It only took one therapy session for me to master the idea and now I am getting around quite well on my own.



I think this calls for some applause!

New Years' Day

Celebrating a New Year with new gusto.....getting up on my hands and knees used to be an impossibility...but now after a LOT of hard work my muscles are much stronger!

Meeting New Friends.....

On December 26, 2008, we took Abby for a visit to Poplarville, MS, to see some folks we consider "extended family." Abby got to meet quite a few friends that have prayed for her and loved her long before we ever held her in our arms. It was almost as if Abby already knew them all....she certainly dished out the lovin' as you will see!
