The last two months have been a blur for us all. We have been back and forth not only to Birmingham, but to numerous other doctor's appointments, therapies, and enrollments into new therapies....not to mention all of the paperwork, history, and phone calls associated with it all. So, contrary to popular belief, we have not fallen off the face of the earth. We're just taking care of the most important little thing in our lives:0)

Having a great time at Mattelyn's 6th Birthday Party
Mattelyn is a true friend....she fed me some udon noodles!!!!
JANUARY 5, 2009
Abby's checkup with Dr. Blount (her neurosurgeon in Birmingham) went great...and she effectively ran him off after he examined her! Poor Dr. Blount had to "hide" behind Abby to get his picture made with her.

Lookin' cute in my PJ's and pink bow
First time sitting in Daddy's rocking chair from when he was a baby.
What a happy memory!
JANUARY 26, 2009
Here's my newest therapy...it's called "The Rabbit" and I can stand up to strengthen my legs while I wheel myself around where I'd like to go! It only took one therapy session for me to master the idea and now I am getting around quite well on my own.
I think this calls for some applause!
Enjoying some outside time on a pretty day.....
What happens if I eat this?
Of course Daddy and Mama have to get in on the fun
What I'd really like to do is play "mud pies"
At last I finally get my fingers in that dirt!

Woo hoo another update!!!! Abby's so beautiful; it's exciting to see her growing and exploring her world like she never could before. We think of y'all often and pray for Abby's continued progress with therapy and strength for Mom & Dad. Thanks for the update!
Love,
Jeanne
Wow, Abby looks great. Let me know next time you guys are in Birmingham, maybe we can meet for lunch.
I had to smile to see you are letting Abby play in the dirt. You know there are worms in there, right? ;-)
Guess who
Yaay for new sweet pictures! Gorgeous as ever. I bet she's having a blast getting around so well. Love to you guys...
This is my favorite. Michael, you took a great picture- doing good!
Abby looks like she is doing great with the rabbit. We miss you guys and hope to see you soon. I can see she is growing too fast! I'd tell you to tell her to slow down, but it doesn't help slow Mattelyn down. Give her a hug from us!
