This morning Abby finally tee-teed! And we are PRAISING GOD! She was able to empty 34 cc's of urine on her own! We still had to catheterize her to complete the process of about 180 cc's, but this is still a huge step in the right direction. Please continue praying peace over Abby as she is beginning to act like she is traumatized by all of the catheters. The doctor will not let the catheter just stay inserted because then it would be impossible for her bladder to wake up on its own. So every 3 hours the nurses are having to reinsert the catheter to empty her bladder. It is very hard to watch your child suffer. Abby doesn't understand why we aren't rescuing her from all of this. So please, please keep up the prayers. God is good!
We still need prayer for the nausea and vomiting. Yesterday we posted that Abby had eaten 2 small meals and held them down. Today she has thrown up twice. The second time she projectile vomited and we had to change the entire bed and bathe her. She did eat a good lunch about 1:00 and so far has held it down.
Abby playing "lip gloss" with Jawanna. Today has been much different than yesterday as Abby has started playing with us again and smiling. Yesterday she was very lethargic and would barely acknowledge us. Thank you, Jesus, for a good day!
Abby LOVES her Glo-Worm! This little worm's songs have calmed many a stormy moments while we have been in the hospital!

Who could believe anyone, especially a baby, could smile like this in the midst of all this pain and suffering? What an inspiration she is, and you two as well. All three of you, along with the medical staff there at UAB are in our prayers. Can't wait til you're home.
You are beautiful, Abby! We are praying for you and your mommy & daddy.
We love you.
