This post is a day late :0) and even though it was another wild and crazy day, we had a HUGE bright spot when Uncle Bo, Aunt Chere', Alan-Michael, Chandler, Emmely and Erica came for a visit!

The kids played with Abby and sang to her....it really cheered her up!







Erica gave Abby her favorite Teddy Bear (the green one) and the kids brought Abby a new elephant blanket that she enjoys cuddling. Erica told Abby, "This is my bear when I was a baby but I don't need it anymore. You can have it and give it to another baby when you get big." How sweet is that?!




Notice Erica is making her eyes slant so she matches Abby. She loves Abby's eyes.


Now, here is today's update:
Abby had 125cc's tee-tee in her diaper this morning. They gave her another suppository (4th one) and she had a very small bowel movement. There is a low-grade fever of 99.8. She threw up her bottle this morning. She is not resting very well and we're not sure why. Yesterday she only napped about 1 hr 15 minutes the entire day. This morning about 11:30 she was sleeping soundly and was woke up for another catheter, and she has been upset ever since. Now they're doing her cath every 3 hours again. We're having a hard time getting her to eat and even when she does take a bite, she acts nauseated. It seems that we have small victories but then lose some too.

Now we're sure you can see why our visit from our family meant so much today. It can get very lonely in a hospital, especially when you're so far away from home. Thank you Bo, Chere' and Kids for making the long trek to Birmingham to cheer us up. Aunt Chere' even stayed long enough to help out with Abby's catheter. She sang to her and talked her through it and did a great job. We love you guys!
